What is actually special here

Plenty of sites offer a JPG converter. Fewer of them keep the wedding album in your tab. ToolsGuru is a publisher of 70+ browser utilities whose unusual constraint is architectural: conversion, PDF rewrite, hashing, and most text jobs run in JavaScript on your device (File API, Canvas, pdf-lib, Web Crypto). We are not a cloud transcode farm with a friendly landing page. We also are not a certified lab — when a calculator or a citation formatter would be mistaken for professional advice, the tool page says so.

What you will not find is a doorway of 70+ near-identical pages that only swap the keyword. Each tool has its own worked example (a Kent print-shop HEIC batch is not the same story as a 2,500-word Reform Act essay), plus limitations and a “when not to use” section. Original long-form sits on /guides/. Ads, when shown, sit below that primary copy. The 404 page does not carry an ad unit.

If you want the technical walkthrough — including the Google Analytics and AdSense scripts that still load with the site — read How ToolsGuru keeps files on your device. If you want a job done this afternoon, pick a category below and use the guide under the tool before you trust the output for anything that could hurt someone.

Free online tools that respect your privacy

ToolsGuru is a collection of 70+ free utilities that mostly run in your web browser. Unlike traditional online tools that upload your files and data to remote servers, most of what you do here — from PDF editing and image conversion to password generation and text processing — happens locally on your own device. Your documents, photos, passwords, and text are not sent to ToolsGuru. A few tools do make network requests (the API and GraphQL testers, the Carbon code screenshot preview, and fetching a sitemap by URL); they are named on the FAQ and Privacy Policy pages.

The collection spans eight categories: developer utilities for encoding, hashing, and debugging; file converters for images, PDFs, and video-to-audio extraction; a complete PDF suite for merging, splitting, editing, and watermarking; office tools like QR code and password generators; student tools including grade calculators and flashcards; SEO helpers such as meta tag and robots.txt generators; text manipulation utilities; and everyday calculators for finance, health, and dates.

Every tool is free with no sign-up, no file size games, and no premium tiers. We built ToolsGuru for the moments when you just need a job done — convert this file, check this text, calculate this number — without installing software or creating yet another account.

Choose the right tool for the job

Start with the kind of work you are doing rather than the file extension. If you are preparing a document, the PDF tools can merge pages, remove unwanted sections, add annotations, or apply a watermark. If you are preparing media for a website, use the image converter or compressor and compare the output before you download it. For a calculation, choose the tool that matches the question — a percentage change is different from a discount, loan, or compound-interest calculation.

Developers can keep sensitive snippets local while checking hashes, formatting structured data, comparing revisions, or inspecting an API response. Writers can clean copied text, check reading time, count characters, and create a consistent URL slug without moving their draft into another service. Students can use the grade, GPA, citation, and flashcard tools as study aids while still checking their institution's rules and source requirements.

For the best results, read the short guide beneath each tool before entering data. It explains what the result means, which settings matter, and where the tool's limits are. That guidance is especially important for financial estimates, health-related calculations, and SEO checks: the result is useful information to support a decision, not a substitute for professional advice or a platform's official documentation.
