A renter had a Word inventory and a text file of meter readings. The letting agent’s portal demanded PDFs. They converted both files in the browser, then combined them with the PDF Joiner if needed, so the documents never went to an unknown ‘free PDF’ upload site.

The Word-to-PDF path uses in-browser conversion, so complex Word layouts (text boxes, tracked changes) can shift. They visually checked page 2, where a table of utility readings sat, before uploading to the agent.

Limitations

Layout fidelity from Word is best-effort, not Adobe InDesign. Fonts you do not have will substitute.
Only DOCX, RTF and TXT are accepted for PDF output; images and spreadsheets are not supported.
PDF to TXT, RTF or DOCX extracts text only; images, tables and page layout are not reproduced.
Password-protected PDFs need the password; this tool will not crack them.
There is no OCR: a scanned PDF with no text layer will not produce text.

When not to use PDF Converter

Print-ready books, crop marks, and bleed belong in a desktop publishing app.
If a solicitor requires a certified PDF/A-2a with embedded fonts, use software that writes that profile and verify with a PDF/A validator.
Do not convert files you are not allowed to copy (some workplace DRM).
