Calculate weighted and unweighted GPA accurately

Calculate semester or cumulative GPA in seconds. Enter each course with its grade and credit hours, and the calculator instantly returns weighted and unweighted GPAs on a 4.0 (or 5.0) scale — exactly what universities, scholarship boards and employers expect to see.

GPA tracking matters for class rank, scholarship eligibility, graduate school applications and job recruiting. Knowing your current and projected GPA lets you prioritize the right courses, target the right grade boundaries, and avoid surprises at the end of the semester.

The calculator supports both letter‑grade and percentage inputs, custom grading scales, and AP/Honors weighting bumps. You can save and reload courses across sessions to track progress over time without uploading any personal data.

Common use cases

Track current semester

Predict your end‑of‑semester GPA based on current grades.

Scholarship eligibility

Confirm that your GPA meets minimum scholarship cutoffs.

Graduate school targets

See exactly what GPA you need from remaining classes to hit a target.

Class rank planning

Choose between AP and regular classes by modeling each option's GPA impact.

Worked example: Semester with a retake and a 10-credit module

A student had four 20-credit modules (marks 62, 57, 71, 48) and one 10-credit skills module (mark 80). Weighting by credits, not by ‘five equal classes’, changed the semester average by more than a point. The 48 was a pass at their institution but pulled the mean; they used the calculator to see the effect before meeting a tutor.

Their university uses a specific degree classification algorithm with exit velocity. This calculator does not replace that. It only does the arithmetic you enter.

Your privacy matters

GPA Calculator is designed to run in your web browser. File and text tools process bytes in memory on your device rather than uploading them to a ToolsGuru converter API. Network requests you still see are the page itself, analytics, and ads — not a copy of your document sitting in our logs. How we process files, and how to check.
